It isn’t like you shouldn’t send your Vios GR Sport Malaysia to service at all because at a certain mileage or maybe every few months or year, you should get your car checked up by service centers to ensure that nothing internal and external is disrupting the integrity of your sports car.

Due to its specifications, a sports car is more expensive when you want it serviced as the servicing demands and requirements are different from the usual cars you see on the road every day. From changing parts to a repainting job, the total price may burn your pockets all the way to the core of the Earth.

Scary. That is why maintaining your sports car by yourself is the better option while there is no reason to take it to service for the time being. What can you do to maintain your ride?

Cleaning

Cleaning your sports car weekly not only retains its cleanliness and beauty, it also prevents rust or corrosion on the surfaces, especially when it comes to that gorgeous paintwork. Furthermore, because sports cars tend to be close to the ground in comparison to other cars, it has a higher chance of being the succulent honeypot for debris on the roads.

Thus, the undercarriage and tires should be often free of those when you are cleaning your sports car. Besides, if you can afford it, wax your car after your cleaning session too. Waxing improves and smoothens the appearance and protection of its paintwork. It also prevents fading due to ultraviolet rays and other irritants outside.

Don’t confuse waxing with car polish now. Car polish doesn’t just make your sports car shiny, it also removes a thin layer of its pain and any imperfections on it, restoring its original glory. In fact, you can employ both polish and wax by applying the former first before moving on to the latter to improve the shine further.

Checking fluids

Vios GR Sport Malaysia

Whether you just finished cleaning your sports car or you are about to drive it in a few minutes, it is prudent to check the fluids of your car weekly by inspecting the engine. The three fluids that you must look out for as priority are the engine oil, coolant and steering fluid.

If any of them have low levels, they must be sent to a mechanic shop or service center immediately to top up or replace them. They may also be purchased so long as they fit your sports car according to the seller or manufacturer.

An engine oil lubricates your engine so it runs smoothly, and can be checked by removing its dipstick and examining the oil level at the metal tip. Meanwhile, the coolant regulates the engine’s temperature and is located in a transparent reserve. You can tell when you see a colored liquid, which is usually pink, green, blue in most cars.

The steering fluid is in a smaller, yet also transparent reserve with a labeled black cap. It powers your steering so you can turn with your sports car, otherwise it will be difficult to do so when it gets lower.
